Updated January 4th, 2009 Today's updates are below. No new class action lawsuit settlements. We wanted to congratulate the Consumerist on being aquired by Consumers Union and thank Karen Datko and MSN for writing about us. - Congratulations to the Consumerist! They were purchased by the team behind Consumer Reports. This is GREAT! This will help continue the great tradition of online Consumer Advocacy that's been so strong at the Consumerist. If you haven't been there, I recommend it completely.
- Thanks to Karen Datko for writing about another one of our settlements. This time she's covering the Mobile Messenger settlement and making sure the MSN viewers out there know they can get a refund on certain ring tones, apps and games purchased. You can also find lots of money saving tips. In this economy we need to save every dollar we can, so Check it out!
- We updated our Attorney Network area. If you're an attorney, you'll want to check it out.
- Created a new advertising section. If you're a settlement administrator or class action attorney you can find out how to get your settlement listed on Top Class Actions.

Updated January 2nd, 2009 Happy New Year everyone! We have some exciting updates. Check out the updates below for the details on the Sprint Nextel Early Termination Fee class action lawsuit settlement, an update on the Pet Food Recall / Menu Foods Class Action Lawsuit Settlement and for those Honda owners out there, the Honda Run Flat Tire class action lawsuit settlement. - Customers of Sprint Nextel, Nextel Partners, Nextel and Sprint should be able to make a cash claim in the Early Termination Fee (ETF) class action lawsuit settlement. There are different categories you can fit in, but follow our instructions to make sure you receive $90 if you were charged an ETF or $35 if you didn't cancel your contract because or the threat of the ETF. If you were a customer of one of those entities between 7/1/99 and 12/31/08 you may be able to make a claim. It's an EASY online claim process, so make sure to submit yours!
- We updated the Menu Foods Class Action Lawsuit Settlement Page. The settlement is being challenged which will delay when you will be paid if you submitted a claim. Head over to the settlement page and click the link for the news article about the challenge. We hope it gets wrapped up quickly so you can receive those checks!
- We received multiple submissions regarding the Honda Run Flat Tires class action lawsuit settlement. You can check out the news article about it here. Keep an eye on our website, as always we'll make sure to let you know once we receive word the website is up so you can submit your claim.
That's all for now! Have a FANTASTIC weekend and LETS GO Arizona CARDINALS! Kick some butt and get into the division playoffs!

Updated 12/17/08 Airborne Health Supplement Class Action Lawsuit Update |
|
|
Wednesday, 17 December 2008 19:45 |
|
Updated December 17th, 2008 I wanted to let you know that if you submitted your claim in the Airborne dietary supplement class action lawsuit (those fizzy alka-seltzer like tablets you drop in water to help combat a cold) check your mailbox! We've received word that some claims are being CHALLENGED! For this lawsuit you could claim up to $63 in purchases without any proof of purchase. The thing is, if you claimed that you bought the most expensive supplement (Airborne Seasonal) and selected the incorrect date for your purchases then they think you're lying. If you were honestly mistaken, make sure to update your selection and return your form. For the record, Airborne Seasonal wasn't released until 6/12/07. If you listed in your claim that you bought your packages BEFORE 6/12/07 expect to receive a letter. Also, only purchases of Airborne products purchased 5/1/01 - 11/29/07 are covered. I hope this helps clear up any confusion out there so you feel good about making your claim. Don't let it slip by! Update your claim that you receive and SEND IT BACK IN! HO-HO-Holidays! Hooray!

Updated 12/14/08 Enron and MemberWorks (Tae Bo/Membership programs) class action lawsuit settlements |
|
|
Sunday, 14 December 2008 15:08 |
|
Updated December 14th, 2008 We have a few updates for you today. One of which more then 1,000,000 people are eligible to claim: - Enron. Will we never hear the end of that disaster? Well, today it's GOOD NEWS! If you owned shares of Enron stock (even some employees of Enron are eligible) then make sure to make your claim! This one isn't actually a class action lawsuit settlement. It's a settlement from the SEC investigation. Hundreds of millions of dollars are included in the settlement so make sure to make your claim if you're eligible. If you don't make your claim the money all goes to the U.S. Treasury, so why not get what you're due? Doesn't Uncle Sam take enough out of your paycheck already?
- Next on the list is the MemberWorks class action lawsuit settlement. This one came up because allegedly a telemarketing group which accepted calls for products you see advertised on TV sold the membership programs to callers who didn't know it would end up costing anything. The minimum claim on this one is a $40 phone card, but can be as high as $150 in cash PLUS a phone card if you were charged. No proof of purchase or digging through old credit card statements for proof is required. Just fill out the right form (depending on what state you live in) and send it in. Easy as that! Check out the settlement page for more details.

Updated November 30th, 2008 Holiday Weekend? Baaaah! Not for us! We had our fill of turkey on Thursday and are continuing to post updates for you. Today we've added two. The first, an interesting settlement for those in the Chicago area, or those who visited. The second is about the Expedia.com class action lawsuit. We've received a bunch of emails about it and therefore added it to the Pending Settlement section. I know, it's not a settlement yet but its the best place for it. From what we're seeing and hearing it will likely end up being settlement within the next year or two. The updates are below: That's all for now! Thanks for supporting Top Class Actions! Updated November 28th, 2008 Holy lack of updates Batman! It's almost December and the class action lawsuit settlements have been CREEPING through this month. We have a LOT going on here at Top Class Actions as we begin the process of completely updating the website. It will help automate a number of functions while making it much easier for both attorneys and consumers to navigate the features available at TopClassActions.com. So, we just posted a settlement affecting owners of 2004 and 2005 model year Toshiba DLP TVs. We're also going to be posting a few additional settlements throughout the weekend, so stay tuned! Thanks for your continued support! You, your comments on individual class action lawsuit settlements, and submissions help make us one of the most popular law sites on the internet! Updated November 1st, 2008 It's been busy as usual around the Top Class Actions office. We received a response from USAA, along with attorneys in our network investigating our options in filing a class action lawsuit. To sum things up, we're out of luck. USAA has the legal right to run credit checks on their members for underwriting purposes and the majority of the increase in the rate was due to across the board rate hikes in Arizona. To see the full response from Alan Krapf, Sr. VP of Policy Service, head over to the page. We're taking down the submission form since there's no basis to the suit. This has opened up some new questions, though not pertaining to USAA. The updates are below: Thanks for supporting us! I appreciate each and every viewer out there! Updated October 28th, 2008 Holy busy weekend Batman! The National Consumer Litigation Conference was GREAT! We met some great attorneys who are ready to fight for YOU! Thanks to Suzanne and the entire crew at the conference, they made it a really enjoyable time for me and the rest of the sponsors present. We'll definitely be there next year and look forward to it! So, what's been updated? Well, I've taken on the task of making the USAA insurance company accountable for their actions. They're raising rates without cause or giving the REAL reason and may be breaking the law in the process! They raised my rates, how about YOU? I'm heading the effort to have them come clean! This could be the very first case where I'll be listed as a Lead Plaintiff in the class action lawsuit. Would you like to be listed alongside me? Don't let them raise your rates without reason or merit while ignoring privacy laws! Join me! Head over to read my open letter to the USAA CEO and join me in my fight against ludicrous rate hikes! Thanks for supporting us! I appreciate each and every viewer out there! Scott ©2008 Top Class Actions LLC |
