We are happy to announce the birth of Sydney Ava Hardy!

Sydney was born at 6:46 PM MST on 9/2/08. She's 7 lbs, 8.8 oz, 21" long, with a 13" noggin, 13" chest and all her fingers and toes. Both Momma Hardy and baby are doing great!

CONGRATULATIONS DEBBIE JONES! You WON the Baby Pool! AMAZINGLY she actually guess 6:30 PM yesterday! That's AWESOME!

This is the section where you can not only help yourself, you can help the Arizona Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society!

As many of you know, we're having a baby. She's due on September 4th. This pool allows you to buy a 15 minute time slot for when you think she'll be born for $5. If you choose the correct time slot, you'll win 49% of the pool, the other 51% will go to the Arizona Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. ABSOLUTELY no money sent in is going to the owners of this website. TopClassActions.com is even covering the 6% taken by PayPal, so the Winners and the Arizona Chapter of the National MS Society will get every penny submitted.

How much is possible? Lets say all slots are sold in the two weeks surrounding the due date. That's 96 slots per day x 14 days = 1,344 slots x $5 = $6,720 total.

$3,427.20 goes to the Arizona Chapter of the National MS Society and $3,292.80 will go to the winner! Each additional week that sells out adds another $1,646.40 to the WINNER's pot! That's a whole lotta dough for a $5 guess.

We're opening it up starting with August 1st, 2008 and running through September 18th, 2008. I sure hope she doesn't arrive too early or late, but if she does I thought it only fair that we give people that shot.

Some important items below:

• UPDATE 8/28/08 - The latest from the Doctor. Mom still isn't dilated, so it will still be at least a few days until the baby arrives. Mom and baby are still healthy and doing fine! Blood Pressure and baby's heart beat are both normal.
• UPDATE 8/25/08 - Things are still going great! Baby is moving and kicking and keeping Mom up at night, I guess it's nothing compared to what will happen in a week or two! The Doctor stated that they wait until 7 days AFTER the due date (September 4th) before they think about inducing labor, so I'm pulling all days from September 12th on. If she is late, then we'll induce on the 11th and the baby will be here, one way or another on the 11th or 12th of September.
• UPDATE 8/23/08 - Baby and Mom are both doing well! The Doctor stated that the baby HASN'T dropped yet and seems perfectly happy hanging out in a head down position. Nothing is pointing to an early birthday yet, but we'll have to see.
• UPDATE 8/7/08 - Baby's doing GREAT and is still in the head down position according to our Doctor. Everything A-OK!
• Key Stats on the Mom. She's a Scorpio (and will remain a Scorpio well past the due date) and 35 years old. She's not overweight and the baby has received a clean bill of health at the Doctor appointments.
• This is our first baby
• The pregnancy has been going smoothly, and Mrs. Hardy has enjoyed the experience so far.
• The Grid has been posted. Guesses and donations are now being accepted.

• If no one chooses the correct time slot, then the person closest to it will win the pool. If it's a tie, the pot will be split between the two. If the baby is born before or after the date range listed the closest registered time slot will win.
• If two people submit their guess for the identical time slot, then the person who's donation was submitted first gets it. The second person will receive the closest available time slot. If both the previous and later time slots are open, the later slot will be taken.
• SUBMISSIONS AND DONATIONS TO THE BABY POOL WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AFTER MRS. HARDY GOES INTO LABOR. For the guess to count, it MUST have been submitted prior to the Hardy's leaving for the hospital.
• Days that have passed without the baby being born are being removed from the site to reduce clutter.
