Details: TJX's computer systems were infiltrated, resulting in personal information of customers possibly being obtained by hackers/identity thieves. If you made a purchase with a credit card or returned an item without a receipt (giving the store your drivers license) at any of the stores listed above you may be eligible to participate in this claim. Those who submitted a claim utilizing their drivers license should have received notification in the mail of the settlement. Rewards are paid for damages due to identity theft and/or enrollment in a credit/identity guard program for free for two years. Purchased From: 12/31/02 - 9/2/03 AND 5/15/06 - 12/18/06 Claims Accepted Until (YOU MUST SUBMIT YOUR CLAIM BY THIS DATE!): Depends on the claim. Class Action Lawsuit Settlement Amount(s): Unknown amount of claims plus $6,500,000 in attorney fees. TCA Staff Tidbit: Overall a dud of a lawsuit for the average consumer unless they're one of the lawyers, someone who had their identity stolen or received notification about the free credit/identity guard program. I'd HIGHLY recommend to those folks that they sign up for it. Otherwise, the only item that will affect the average consumer is the one day special where they give consumers 15% off everything in the store. No date set for that yet.
