Follow us on Twitter and Facebook for the latest Zithromax Class Action Lawsuit News! Back to School with Zithromax Stevens Johnson Syndrome Side Effects
By John Curran
Back to school articles are a hallowed annual feature of many newspapers and journalism outlet. Even in college, they enable news writing majors to talk about their own experiences. Unfortunately, whether it's a student reporter or one at a nationally-known paper, writing about Zithromax Stevens Johnson Syndrome side effects rarely occurs.
Take one University of Georgia article about the infections that face incoming freshmen. It doesn't note Z-Pak heart attack side effects, although it recommends going to the on-campus clinic for the popular antibiotic when the inevitable dorm-wide infection passes through. It does go on to provide tips for students who are getting sick while away from home for the first time. Yet, it's an example of how reporters at any stage of their career are loathe to mention the Z-Pak heart attack side effects, or those that can cause frightening skin disorders such as Stevens Johnson Syndrome.

Follow us on Twitter and Facebook for the latest Metal on Metal Replacement Hip Implant Class Action Lawsuit News! Zimmer Hip Implants Receive FDA Warning Over Practices in Manufacturing Plant
By Andrea Gressman
The FDA issued a warning to Zimmer Holdings Inc. regarding its operations for manufacturing and testing of one of its metal on metal hip implants at one of its locations. In a letter written on September 19, 2012, the agency stated that Zimmer failed to comply with federal regulations regarding its production of the Zimmer hip implant, the Trilogy Acetabular System, which was being produced at its Ponce, Puerto Rico plant.
According to CNBC, the FDA warning highlighted two distinct failures in meeting federal standards: one was in testing the metal hip implant to uphold design specs, and the other was providing concrete evidence regarding the safety of manufacturing products with metallic spikes. Zimmer’s regulatory filing indicated the FDA did not halt production or ban shipment of the Zimmer hip implant in light of the warning, which came after an inspection in June. The company did, however, volunteer to temporarily suspend the release of the Zimmer Trilogy Acetabular System hip implant.

Follow us on Twitter and Facebook for the latest Mesothelioma Asbestos Class Action Lawsuit News! 5 California Workers File Mesothelioma Lawsuit Against Hennessy Industries
By Andrea Gressman
Exposure to asbestos in any quantity is cause for alarm, as it may lead to a serious form of cancer known as mesothelioma. Many employees have experienced asbestos exposure while at work and have the right to demand compensation from employers who showed negligence by failing to provide adequate or timely warnings of the risk of asbestos mesothelioma. In addition, they did not provide materials, equipment, or resources that may have protected their employees from asbestos. Manufacturers and distributors often face liability for their role in their employees becoming ill as a result of their exposure to asbestos and the mesothelioma that results from it.
New Asbestos Mesothelioma Lawsuit
Manufacturing company Hennessy Industries was recently hit with a mesothelioma lawsuit in California. Five workers who used Hennessy's brake shoe grinding machine for various contracts claim they developed mesothelioma as a result of their use of the machine, which exposed them to asbestos. They filed a mesothelioma asbestos lawsuit against the company, which is referred to as Shields v. Hennessy Industries, Inc.
According to the mesothelioma lawsuit plaintiff, Hennessy's machine was produced during a time when all U.S. brake linings contained asbestos, and when the machine was in use the grinding action released asbestos fibers into the air, causing their asbestos illness and eventual development of the mesothelioma cancer.

Follow us on Twitter and Facebook for the latest Class Action Lawsuit Settlement News! Google, Publishers Reach Book Scan Settlement
By Mike Holter
Google and major book publishers have finally settled a seven-year legal battle over Google’s digital books project, which publishers say violates copyright laws. The deal is an about-face for Google, which up until now has maintained it did not need permission from copyright holders because it had a fair-use right under copyright law. A larger dispute with thousands of authors over the same alleged copyright infringement still remains.
The Google/Publisher book scan settlement, announced October 4, ends a federal class action lawsuit filed in 2005 after Google began scanning millions of books from university libraries without the rights holders’ permission to make “snippets” of those books available online in Google’s search engine.

Follow us on Twitter and Facebook for the latest Class Action Lawsuit Settlement News! Facebook Asks Judge to Dismiss $15 Billion Tracking Class Action Lawsuit
By Matt O'Donnell
Facebook on Friday asked a federal judge to dismiss a $15 billion class action lawsuit accusing the company of secretly tracking users’ Internet activity after they log out of their Facebook accounts, saying Plaintiffs didn’t specify how they were harmed.
A lawyer for Facebook said the privacy class action lawsuit suffers from an “utter lack of allegations of any injury” to the Plaintiffs, adding that Plaintiffs haven’t identified what websites they visited, what kind of data or information was collected, or whether Facebook used the information or disclosed it to other parties.
The $15 billion Facebook tracking class action lawsuit combines 21 separate lawsuits filed in the United States in 2011 and early 2012. The cases were combined in February 2012 and Plaintiffs slapped Facebook with the new “super” privacy class action lawsuit in May 2012.
