Details: Head over to the Settlement Administrator Website and download the claim form. It’s ugly but it’s readable. Make sure to include your current name and address as the form requires. Fill out as much information as possible. If you don’t have a Ford account number, don’t fret, you don’t need to include it. Keep in mind, that if you don’t have a Ford account number you’ll receive payment for the class action lawsuit settlement in the form of a 12,500 ThankYou.com award points. That’ll get you a $100 gift certificate good at a large number of retailers like Home Depot, the Gap or many different national restaurant chains or a few video games, DVDs and CDs. All purchased at ThankYou.com. No additional purchase required. Make sure to fill out the claim form completely. They ask that you attached a credit card statement as proof that you were enrolled, but, it isn’t required and your claim shouldn’t be denied if you don’t. They will search their account records for your name and if it’s there, and you were a valid account holder between 2/1/1993 – 12/31/1997, residing in California at that time, and your account wasn’t written off due to non-payment and isn’t past due more than three months at the time the claim is processed, you’ll get your 12,500 ThankYou.com points to use as you see fit. That’s it! Pretty simple overall.

TCA Staff Tidbit: This is an easy one for California residents. If you were living in California between 2/1/1993 – 12/31/1997 and had a Ford/Citibank credit card print out the claim form, fill it out and send it in. At first you say, “SCOTT! Why?!?!?! 12,500 points? Bah humbug.” Fear not reader! This IS worth the time to print out and send in your claim. Check out ThankYou.com and you’ll see a multitude of products you can get for those points. Oodles of gift cards, video games and other fun stuff. Isn’t the cost of a postage stamp, paper, an envelope and postage worth $110 in gift cards? I think so. If I could participate, I would, but I can’t so I won’t. Print out your claim form, fill it out and send it in. Let us know once you’ve got your gift cards and are enjoying dinner at the Macoroni Grill or somewhere else you can get one for at ThankYou.com!
