Naked Juice class action settlement

Details on how to file a claim for the Naked Juice class action lawsuit settlement are finally here! If you purchased an eligible Naked Juice product between September 27, 2007 and August 19, 2013, you can file a claim to receive up to $75 cash with proof of purchase or up to $45 cash without proof of purchase.

The Naked Juice settlement will resolve several class action lawsuits filed in 2011 alleging that Naked Juice Co. engaged in deceptive advertising by labeling its products as “all natural” and “non-GMO.” Plaintiffs alleged they contained processed and synthetic ingredients, as well as ingredients from genetically modified crops.

Naked Juice denies the allegations but has agreed to refund consumers as part of a $9 million class action lawsuit settlement to resolve the litigation.

If you purchased eligible Naked Juice products during the Class Period, you can file a claim to receive a cash reimbursement from the class action settlement.

Class Members with proof of purchase can receive a full reimbursement of what they paid for the listed products, up to a maximum of $75. Class Members without proof of purchase can receive a reimbursement based on the following chart:

UPDATE: Following our Dec. 9 report that the fate of the Naked Juice class action settlement rests on whether or not attorneys could prove how many hours they spent working on the case, an objector has appealed the final approval of the class action settlement.  Details on the appeal were not immediately available but concerned the motion for attorneys’ fees, plaintiff incentive awards and approval order, according to court documents filed Jan. 6, 2014. The case has been transferred to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Distribution of settlement funds will not commence until the appeal has been resolved. Top Class Actions will continue to update our readers on the progress of the appeal and settlement payout. Geez, I need to start saving grocery receipts. We buy at least $10-20 of Naked Juices a week, but I don’t save grocery receipts, lol.

Anyway, hopefully I can get some from this… $45 is better than nothing.

    • Marlene February 23, 2014

I agree. I never used to save my grocery receipts but with all these recalls and class action suits I agree I’m starting to save mine as well for at least 5 years as some of these go back to 2007 or more.
Like you, I think $45 is a small pitance for what I’ve spent on Naked Juice but something is at least better then nothing. Just wondering when we might see the money! Of course my $45 is about 2 weeks worth of their juice anyway! LOL!

I like Naked Drinks and thought they were the best available on the market, but if the company is misinforming the public or claiming something untrue about their product that is harmful or otherwise, they should be stopped and shut down in continuing to do business.

  • Travis Carpenter September 10, 2013

    have used and liked.

I have been buying this product for my daughter and myself. Just about the only thing we were drinking for months besides water. I would say i have spent well over 400.00 on this and i am not to happy right now . My daughter took them to school and to the beach with friends . How sad is this?

  • Mildred Brown September 21, 2013

I was drinking a bottle a day because I thought it had all natural ingredients. Each bottle was $4.25. I started buying the large bottles for my husband and I to drink instead of other juices. Of course I don’t have receipts. It’s like going in the store and buying a soda with cash money.

  • Jessica Talley September 23, 2013

I buy Naked juice faithfully and I didn’t know this was going on!

  • John Sauerman September 24, 2013

at this time. I have been drinking this juice since it became
available in our local market. I had no idea that this was going on.

  • Maryruth September 24, 2013

This is really disappointing. I was drinking this almost daily since it was supposed to be real juice from all natural ingredients. It has made me leery to buy from other companies now. We cannot trust the labeling.

  • Flemming Ryland September 26, 2013

All the more reason to support I-522 in Washington State. This is what false advertisement costs. Unfortunately, I pay in cash and have no proof of purchase, but would still like some compensation.

  • Shana September 30, 2013

  • Marion Lockwood October 3, 2013

I drink this all the time. its a shame that they felt the need to be dishonest about the product

  • Christy streetman October 7, 2013

I can’t believe one of my favorite drinks advertised “All Natural” would have synthetic ingredients added! I buy this drink every time I shop for groceries and when I grab a drink at the convent store. It made me feel good to be putting natural juices in my body instead of the other crap that claims to be juice. Now all this time I realize I was just being drooped by another company. Thanks a lot ” NAKED”! This is a shame. I buy a bottle of this product every time I want a drink. I’ve spent thousands of dollars on this product! Not any more!!!!!!

  • Banmattie Sooklall October 12, 2013

This used to be my on the go morning drink every morning…until I found out that it’s not all natural as a consumer I was highly upset because Naked is a expensive drink for such a small bottle…the amount of money that I spent on buying naked is unbelievable….only to be lied too

    When are the payouts coming!

  • AG January 25, 2014

    Received claim rejection letter saying:

“You completed both the “with” and “without” proof section of the claim form, in violation of the Claim Form instructions.”

I filled out claim form Online and I will not fill up “with” section if I don’t have receipts. This lawsuit is fraud….

    • RW January 26, 2014

      i got same letter.

i print out copies of forms when i fill them out….this is bogus!!!

  • Linda January 27, 2014

I got the same letter! Just another way not to do a payout to the consumers who bought this product!

  • DEON January 27, 2014

I’M PISSED I GOT THE SAME LETTER TODAY NC “you failed to provide adequate proof”

  • Donielle January 27, 2014

Got the same rejection letter. I know I did not fill out both forms. I objected the rejection. I’ve bought several naked juice products. Bs because it looks like the lawyers just wanted more $.

  • Mike Rogers January 28, 2014

  • dee4 January 28, 2014

  • mike January 28, 2014

  • Dana January 28, 2014

    Got $5.00 bucks today fl

  • Brian January 29, 2014

I got a rejection email that I found in my spam folder today saying I was rejected because I filled out the with and without section of the claim form….I did include receipts. I notice a lot of people got the same message. Seems fishy. If a person sends receipts it looks like they would push it on through even if you filled out both sections, which I’m pretty sure I did not.

  • Stefani January 29, 2014

I think there may have been some sort of glitch in their system or the don’t have enough money to pay out all the claims. My claim was approved, but my friend’s claim was rejected saying she filled out both forms, which she didn’t because we both did ours at the same time. Very strange. I still buy Naked Juice, and it does not taste the same.

  • Stefani January 29, 2014

Read the above update info. This case is now in the appeals process. No one is getting paid anytime soon.

  • NBUCK January 30, 2014

YES I RECEIVE THE SAME REJECTION LETTER WHAT IS UP WITH THIS CLAIM MY FRIEND RECEIVE A DIFFERENT REJECTION LETTER IN FLORIDA

  • Stefani January 30, 2014

  • maria January 30, 2014

I too received the same letter. Sounds like an excuse not to pay.

  • amy January 30, 2014

Dana,it”s strange that you the only one received a payment.when there is a appeal going on.

    • skip February 4, 2014

      That’s because the $5 was for a FedEx claim…

  • Florida Girl January 31, 2014

@ Amy, Dana rec’d $5.00 check from the FEDEX payout???

  • Aaron January 31, 2014

I got a rejection letter a few days ago saying I filled out both the “with” and “without” proof section of the claim form. This is simply not true. Has anyone tried to contest their rejection letter?

  • risapootn February 1, 2014

Me and 3 other friends from tn. also received rejection letters stating we filled out both “with” or “wiithout” proof section of claim form. Really their fulll of it. Me and my siblings purchsed naked juice. so you mean to tell me we all marked the same thing and at different times. seriously!!!!!!!!! SMH

  • Jay February 2, 2014

Are you receiving the letters in the mail or by email?

  • Brian February 2, 2014

I received it by email….the email was in my spam folder and I missed responding within the 10 day or so deadline. I did send an email just the same, but got no reply.

  • Tee February 4, 2014

Got same email and rejection letter. I did send email and got response that they received.

  • Chris February 7, 2014

Does anyone know what the subject line of the emails say ?

  • Matt February 7, 2014

I received rejection letter, but after replying they corrected it and stated the settlement would arrive soon.

  • Dana February 8, 2014

@Amy I know what I’m talking about I don’t just post anywhere just for the hell of it. The stub did say naked juice an also I did receive a rejection letter for my husband and mother stating that we filled out both lines which I know we did not because I have a copy of what I fill out. And I also did receive a check for $5.00 for the FedEx claim also

  • Donielle February 9, 2014

I got an email. My objection to my rejection letter was approved. I’m back on the payout list. If there ever is one.

  • carol February 10, 2014

Amy n oone on this particular settlement cares anything about a $5.00 payment you got from Fed-Ex…post that on the Fed Ex settlement page, We are looking for Naked Juice payments here….I mean really!

  • carol February 10, 2014

I’m sorry the above comment was for Dana…not Amy!

  • Dana February 11, 2014

@carol you need to grow up if you would read the above posts you you’ll see why the response was posted, your so worried about me posting $5.00 for FedEx but your looking for a $45.00 from naked juice. This site is for people to let others know when any up date not to be little people. So you can take your I mean really and stick it where the sun don’t shine peace

  • catherine rivers February 11, 2014

I filled out my claim form on 8/24/2013, received a confirmation number and to date I have not received any payment, what is the problem/ I would hate to think that Naked Juice does not obey the laws of our courts. When are we going to receive our money? I still continue to buy your juices on occasion, so when are you going to reward your loyal customers?

  • robert February 11, 2014

It is not the product companies that are dragging this on it is the Distribution Administrator firms that have to make sure each and every claim is correct, while they get the bulk of the money right away and the rest of the plaintiff consumers have to wait for the left over crumbs!!!!

    This is how it goes:
    1. Court Fees
    2. Attorney Fees
    3. Charitable Funds if applicable
    4. Main Plaintiffs
    5. Distribution Fund Administrator fees to cover services and postal fees
    6.The rest of the plaintiffs

  • DEON February 12, 2014

REPLY TO YOUR REJECTION LETTER! TO BE BACK IN SETTLEMENT

  • Dana February 12, 2014

Even the hydroxatone settlment checks have already gone out

  • sharon February 12, 2014

Has anyone spoken to the administrator for details on payout?

  • Stefani February 24, 2014

Do you people have reading comprehension skills? This case is in the APPEALS PROCESS. Which means, NO CHECKS are going out for at least another year or two. READ THE ENTIRE ARTICLE!

    • ton February 27, 2014

      Stefani,
Please relax and understand most people are too lazy to read the entire lawsuit. I like when they say please put me in the lawsuit. I sometimes respond “sure you’re in.” Maybe I’m feeling good because I had my first grand child. In 5 months he went from 5 lbs to 15 lbs and he can find his feet. I see you here often and appreciate your comments. Enjoy your day

  • ton March 28, 2014

Big surprise that the hold up is the possibility that the lawyers might have billed for to many hours. I get rejected for 2 $15 claims and the lawyers over bill at $1000 per fake hour, several million to much and will still get paid. They should have their claim rejected and their fees divided up foe class members!
What do you call 10000 lawyers at the bottom of the ocean? a good start

  • Brad April 15, 2014

    Anyone received a check yet?

  • Class action bitch #1 April 16, 2014

  • joe April 21, 2014

Just got a email from them, the appeal has not been dismissed and the checks have not been sent out. I guess we will have to wait for the mail to see who telling the truth.

  • Jay April 21, 2014

I’m at the point where, I’m not looking on here anymore, if its in my mailbox or check is in my hand thats the only way to know checks went out!
