Details: The AT&T DSL class action lawsuit alleges that AT&T failed to deliver DSL Service to its customers at the speeds promised. Specifically, the class action lawsuit alleges that AT&T breached its contracts with and defrauded some of its customers by limiting the maximum data speed that some of its customers could obtain to a rate below the maximum rate for the plan the customer purchased. The AT&T slow DSL class action lawsuit also alleges that AT&T breached its contracts with and defrauded some of its customers by delivering speeds lower than the minimum promised under the customer’s plan, or otherwise disappointed its customers’ expectations regarding the speed of the DSL Service.

 

So, what can you get in the AT&T DSL Class Action Settlement? Check out the details below:

 

• If AT&T’s records show that, for one or more months, the speed of your DSL Service was limited to a rate below the maximum rate for the plan you purchased, you may be eligible to receive $2.90 for each such month in this class action settlement.

• If AT&T’s records show that, for one or more months, your DSL Service may have performed at speeds lower than certain speed thresholds specified in the Notice, you may be eligible to receive $2.00 for each such month in this class action.

• If AT&T’s records show that your DSL Service fell into both of the categories above for one or more months, you may be eligible to receive $2.90 for each such month in the AT&T Slow DSL class action lawsuit settlement.

• No customer may receive a payment greater than $2.90 for any one month in this class action.

• If AT&T’s Records do not indicate that you fall into one of the categories above, but you believe that your DSL Service has not performed at satisfactory speeds, you may still be eligible for a one-time payment of $2.00.

    FYI. I just checked the status at http://www.DSLSpeedSettlement.com. It says

    Current Status

    A stay has been entered in this case and the June 1, 2010 Final Approval Hearing has been postponed.

    :-( Even after completing and sending a claim form many months before the expiration of claim settlement application date, I still have heard nothing from any party with regard to settlement nor credits to my AT&T monthly bill… after years of slower than threshold speeds for my DSL service (especially late at night).

    Has anyone else also qualified for credit(s), applied and then received no info nor credits?

    4 years i questioned att about my speed & they denied my complaints. THANKS, sorry if customers have 2 pay 4 ATT’s mess, get another service. That’s what i did.
