Walgreens Juice Arsenic & Lead Contamination Class Action Lawsuit
By Kimberly Mirando
According to the Walgreens arsenic juice class action lawsuit, Walgreens 100% Grape Juice contains more than twice the amount of arsenic and more than three times the amount of lead allowed by the FDA in bottled water. Walgreens 100% Apple Juice contains just over 1% more lead than allowed – enough to raise concern for consumers.
“Exposure to arsenic and lead in food or liquids over time, unlike many other poisons, causes cumulative build up of these toxins in the body. Build up can and has been scientifically demonstrated to lead to the development of chronic poisoning, cancer, developmental and reproductive disorders, as well as serious injuries to the nervous system, and other organs and body system,” the Walgreens 100% juice class action lawsuit states.
The Walgreens contaminated juice class action lawsuit is brought on behalf of all consumers who purchased the alleged contaminated juices in the United States. It is seeking restitution; actual, statutory and punitive damages; and an order requiring Walgreens to immediately cease its wrongful conduct and produce a corrective advertising campaign.
