AllianceOne TCPA Class Action Settlement

By Kimberly Mirando

AllianceOne settlementA federal court has preliminarily approved a class action lawsuit settlement with AllianceOne Receivables Management, Inc. over allegations the company violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act by calling cell phones using an automated dialer or with a prerecorded voice message without the recipients’ prior express consent. If you received an unauthorized call from AllianceOne between 2004 and 2010, you may be able to file a claim to receive up to $40 from the class action settlement.

AllianceOne denies any wrongdoing, but has agreed to a $9 million class action lawsuit settlement to avoid the expense of ongoing litigation.

The AllianceOne TCPA settlement will be distributed to Class Members who received an autodialed call from the company or their affiliates and agents on a cell phone or pager without their prior consent between February 8, 2004 and November 30, 2010.

The amount of money you can receive from the AllianceOne class action settlement will depend upon the number of qualified Class Members who submit valid claims, but you could receive as much as $40 cash. The only way to receive a cash payment from the class action lawsuit settlement is to submit a claim form, available at www.AllianceOneSettlement.com, no later than August 6, 2012.

More information on your rights in the AllianceOne TCPA Class Action Lawsuit Settlement can be found at the Settlement Administrator’s website: www.AllianceOneSettlement.com.

The case is Adams, et al. v. AllianceOne Receivables Managements, Inc., Case No. 8-cv-0248 JAH WVG, U.S. District Court, Southern District of California.
