Sensa weight lossA federal judge has preliminarily approved a $9 million settlement in the Sensa Weight Loss System class action lawsuit we first told you about in April 2011. If granted final approval, the Sensa class action settlement will provide up to $6 million in refunds to consumers who purchased Sensa prior to August 21, 2012 and who submit a claim form by the deadline of December 13, 2012.

The Sensa weight loss settlement will resolve a false advertising class action lawsuit, entitled Correa v. Sensa Products, LLC, that alleges Sensa tricked consumers into buying its “weight-loss” crystals by using marketing claims not backed by scientific proof. Sensa denies these allegations and contends that its marketing claims are substantiated by three product studies and scientific research regarding neurology and the science of smell and taste, but has agreed to a class action lawsuit settlement to avoid the expense of ongoing litigation.

Class Members of the Sensa class action settlement include all U.S. consumers who purchased Sensa prior to August 21, 2012. If the court grants final approval to the Sensa settlement at the November 7, 2012 Final Fairness Hearing, Class Members who submit a Claim Form will receive a share of the $6 million settlement fund. The amount of money you will receive from the Sensa settlement will depend on, among other things, how many of the 2.6 million Class Members submit a timely and valid Claim Form.

Claim Forms must be submitted online at www.WeightLossSettlement.com or to the Settlement Administrator postmarked no later than December 13, 2012.

Claim forms and more information on your rights in the Sensa Weight Loss Class Action Lawsuit Settlement can be found at www.WeightLossSettlement.com. Detailed instructions on how to file a claim for the Sensa settlement can be found in our Open Lawsuit Settlements section.

I took Sensa for months and never lost an ounce. When I inquired about the suit I was told not to worry because Sensa had a record of everyone who bought the product.
The suit is over and payments made and I have never heard a word from Sensa. I am still holding some of the product although I do not know why.

  2. Michelle Bey says:

Here it is 4 years later and I haven’t received any compensation. And still have the product sitting here in case they need proof. what is being done to help us that didn’t receive our refund?

  3. Wanda says:

I submitted my claim but never got a refund or anything.

    1. Thea says:

Same for me…submitted a claim but received no check. I even had proof of purchase.

  4. Linda Nosal says:

I swear Dr. OZ is just interested in his own financial gain on all the products he advertises. I will never
buy a product just because he endorses it. I think if a product sounds too good to be true, then it probably
is falsely advertised. Don’t be another victim of Dr. Oz or the media trying to hype up these fake weight
loss gimmicks. The only thing you lose is your hard-earned money!!

  5. Regina Gasaway says:

I was on Sensa for almost a year. I didn’t loose a thing. They kept taking money ever 3 months out of my bank account. I didn’t receive any refunds from this lawsuit. I am still waiting on my refund from all the money I dished out on this fake product

  7. Carrie Harrell-Payton says:

Wow! At least some of you got something. I have not received a dime! They contacted me and have me the information on the suit, Ann’s I the end I receive nothing. Sensa got over on us, and so did this so called attorneys “looking out for interests.”

  8. BHoppy says:

I was NEVER informed about this lawsuit and I bought it strait from “Sensa”. I still have this “FAKE” product in my possession.

  9. ron says:

Whoever sneaked this lawsuit through must be associated with the tea-party goons. I took five shakers of this junk and never lost a pound. The first I heard of the lawsuit was in January. I put some of the blame on Dr. Oz for his backing of the product. Someone should start a Class Action against the personnel who 11th houred this deal. Reminds me of our shameful senate passing a pay raise for themselves.
