Southwest Airlines class action settlementSettlement money from two class action lawsuits against Southwest Airlines Co. is being mailed to consumers this week who participated in a class action settlement over credit card receipts.

The money is from a $1.8 million class action settlement reached in October 2013 over claims that Southwest violated the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACTA) by printing the expiration date on customers’ credit or debit card receipts at airport ticket counters or at cargo counters.

Southwest customers had until Feb. 2, 2014 to file a claim to receive a cash award from the Southwest FACTA class action settlement. A California federal judge granted final approval to the deal on March 21.

The average settlement check is $61.77, according to reports from Top Class Actions viewers.

I totally forgot about this settlement that I applied for back on 8/2013 as I had filed paperwork away. Recently discovered it. My claim # is 50020042 and I have NEVER received a check!! Phone number I had no longer valid. Any suggestions or am I SOL?
