Deadlines Close for Dr. Praeger's & Brooks Brothers Class Action Settlements

class action settlementDeadlines for two class action lawsuit settlements are just days away. If you purchased Dr. Praeger’s Frozen Food or shopped at Brooks Brothers, you may be qualified to receive money or other benefits from these class action settlements.

Here’s a little background on the cases and how to file a claim for settlement benefits.

Dr. Praeger’s Frozen Food Class Action Lawsuit Settlement

The Dr. Praeger’s settlement will resolve a class action lawsuit, Elias v. Ungar’s Food Products, that alleges the defendants misrepresented the amount of fat and calories in certain Dr. Praeger’s frozen food products.

If you purchased Dr. Praeger’s California Veggie Burgers, Tex-Mex Veggie Burgers, Broccoli Pancakes, Potato Pancakes and Spinach Pancakes from May 30, 2000 through August 31, 2007, you can file a claim to receive a refund. The deadline to do this is October 15, 2012.

Brooks Brothers Class Action Lawsuit Settlement

The Brooks Brothers settlement will resolve a class action lawsuit, Stathopoulos v. Retail Brand Alliance, that alleges Brooks Brothers violated California law by asking customers for personal identification information during credit card transactions.

If you purchased merchandise with a credit card at any Brooks Brothers retail store in California (including factory/outlet) between June 2, 2010 and June 18, 2012 and were asked to provide or did provide information such as your physical address, email address, zip code and/or telephone number, you can file a claim to receive either a $25-off or $50-off Merchandise Certificate.

You must submit a Claim Form by October 16, 2012 to receive your Brooks Brothers Merchandise Certificate.
