BancorpSouthBad news for Class Members of the BancorpSouth overdraft class action lawsuit settlement: a recent update to the Settlement Administrator website indicates the settlement was terminated in June 2012 and the class action lawsuit was dismissed.

Top Class Actions reported in November that recent court orders had delayed the claims filing process for the BancorpSouth overdraft fee settlement. It was speculated that this might extend the claims filing deadline. Unfortunately, this was not the case.

According to the Settlement Administrator website (www.BancorpOverdraftSettlement.com):

The Claims Administrator cannot accept claim forms or requests for account statements and there will be no payments to BancorpSouth customers who already submitted claims pursuant to the Thomas and Lawson Settlement.

No further information was provided.

Can anyone recommend an attorney to sue Bancorp 1 on 1? After recieving a large sum of money, I was purchasing auction items on line on a daily basis. Before I realized what happened, the bank had literally drained my acct (if i pd a 200 order on line, the bank paid it 3, 4, or more times!) I fought it and recv’d an ‘anonymous deposit to my acct months later…enough to cover overdraft is all………..

  5. Paula Bain says:

How could this be every one with a claim can show evidence of the claims in this action! All other banks
have had the same class action for the very same thing so how does Bancorp south get out of paying but all other banks have to pay????
Can another class action be filed against Bancorp South this seems so unfair! Makes wonder how much was used to grease the judges pockets!!!!!!
