Class Action Settlements Closing Week of June 17, 2013
Several big class action lawsuit settlements are closing next week. If you purchased a Kaz heating pad, Imprelis weed killer, Humphreys homeopathic products or a Madela breast milk pump, you may be able to claim cash. You may also be entitled to a refund if you were charged improper overdraft fees from Harris Bank.
Here are the details on how to file a claim.
Kaz Heating Pad Class Action Settlement (Claim Deadline: June 17, 2013)
A federal court approved the Kaz heating pad class action lawsuit settlement on June 11, 2013. The settlement resolves allegations that Kaz USA Inc. deceptively labeled and marketed its electronic heating pads by omitting the fact that the pads could burn consumers if used a certain way.
Class Members of the Kaz heating pad class action settlement include all California residents who purchased a Kaz-manufactured or distributed electric heating pad for personal, family or household use between October 13, 2006 and January 7, 2013. These heating pads or their packaging stated: “Kaz,” “SoftHeat,” “Dunlap,” or “1-800-477-0457.”
Class Members who submit valid Claim Forms can expect to receive approximately $10-$20 from the class action lawsuit settlement. The amount of money you will receive will depend on how many people file valid claims.
The deadline to submit a claim is June 17, 2013.

Harris Bank Overdraft Fee Class Action Settlement (Claim Deadline: June 18, 2013)
The Harris Bank overdraft settlement will resolve allegations the bank reordered debit card transactions from highest to lowest dollar amount in order to increase the number of overdraft fees assessed to customers.
Class Members of the Harris Bank settlement include anyone who:
- Had a Harris Bank consumer deposit account that was opened anywhere other than in Illinois and accessible with a Harris debit card between April 23, 2004 and October 4, 2012; or
- Had a Harris Bank consumer deposit Account that was opened in Illinois and accessible with a Harris Bank debit card between April 23, 2000 and October 4, 2012; and
- Were charged one or more overdraft fees as a result of Harris Bank’s practice of posting debit card transactions from highest to lowest dollar amount.
Class Members can receive a cash payment based on the number of improper overdraft fees they were assessed and how many valid claims are filed.
Class Members who had accounts opened in Illinois and incurred eligible overdraft fees between April 23, 2000 and September 4, 2003 will need to submit a valid Claim Form by June 18, 2013 in order to receive a payment. All other Class Members will automatically receive a payment if the class action settlement is approved.

Imprelis Tree Damage Class Action Settlement (Claim Deadline: June 18, 2013)
DuPont has reached a class action lawsuit settlement over allegations its weed-killer Imprelis damaged trees and other non-target vegetation. If you had unexplained tree damage after August 2010, it could be from Imprelis and you may be eligible to receive several benefits from the class action settlement, including free removal of damaged trees, replacement trees, and payment of between $30 and $19,000 for damaged trees that qualify for replacement. The settlement covers property owners, lawn care professionals as well as golf courses and other self-applicators.
The only way for certain Class Members to receive benefits is to submit a Claim Form and supporting documents postmarked no later than June 18, 2013.

Humphreys Homeopathic Product Class Action Settlement (Claim Deadline: June 19, 2013)
The Humphreys homeopathic product settlement resolves allegations the defendants duped consumers into purchasing the company’s homeopathic remedies based on misleading and confusing claims about their efficacy and ingredients. If you purchased a Humphreys homeopathic product within the past five years, you may be entitled to receive up to $10 cash for each eligible product you purchased.
The only way to receive a cash award from the Humphreys settlement is to submit a valid Claim Form no later than June 19, 2013.

Madela Breast Milk Bottle Class Action Settlement (Claim Deadline: June 20, 2013)
A proposed class action lawsuit settlement has been reached between Madela Inc. and consumers who claim the manufacturer misrepresented the safety and utility of its breast milk freezing and storage bottles. Qualifying Class Members can receive up to $10 in discount certificates if they file a valid Claim Form by the June 25, 2013 deadline.
Class Members of the Madela class action settlement include all persons in the United States who purchased at retail a 2.7 oz/80 mL, 5 oz/150 mL, or 8 oz/250 mL breast milk bottle – including any Madela retail product that includes the bottles – between July 1, 2008 and March 20, 2013. These retail products include the Madela Breastmilk Freezing & Storage Pack, the Madela Breastmilk Feeding Gift Set, the Madela Breastmilk Storage Solution, and other Madela products.
The only way to receive a discount certificate is to submit a valid Claim Form postmarked on or before June 20, 2013.

Go to Wells Fargo class action settlements and start there. I just filed a new one against them and the Appraisal firms they used. Wells chose the Appraiser and I asked for a copy of it since I paid for it. The Appraiser refused and said he’d get in trouble.
I asked the Mortgage lender and she said it was only provided at closing. So I was never allowed to use the Appraisal (primary document) in seeking other loans for a better rate.
Yes, all closing soon class actions should be together! I cannot search hundreds of pages for suits closing soon…
