CVS Faces Class Action Lawsuit Over Unpaid Employee Wages

By Sarah Pierce

A potential class action lawsuit has been filed on behalf of current and former CVS drug store employees over alleged violations of labor laws. If you are a CVS employee or former employee who was subjected to a security search after you clocked out at the end of your shift or for lunch, you can make a claim for unpaid wages if a class action settlement is reached.

According to a press release, the drug store retailer makes employees wait up to 30 minutes at the end of each shift for unpaid “off-the-clock” security checks of their personal belongings. The class action lawsuit also claims employees are not paid overtime wages and are routinely required to work during meal and rest breaks and after they clock out without compensation.
