AT&T logoHere’s an update to the AT&T Early Termination Fee class action settlement we told you about in January. The deadline for submitting a claim form has been extended to August 23, 2010, so all you procrastinators and current/former AT&T customers who didn’t know you were class members are in luck.To refresh your memory, this class action settlement will resolve a lawsuit alleging AT&T Mobility/Cingular Wireless violated state and federal laws by imposing a flat-rate early termination fee (ETF). If you were an AT&T Mobility or Cingular Wireless customer between January 1, 1998 and November 4, 2009 and were billed a flat-rate ETF during this period or had a provision for a flat-rate ETF on your account during this period but have not paid or been billed for this fee, you could receive between $24 and $140 under the class action settlement. To learn more about this class action settlement, see our Open Settlements section. Claim forms can be submitted online at www.attmetfsettlement.com.
