Lawsuit: Actos Bladder Cancer Side Effects Recurred Two Times

By John Curran

Actos side effects class action lawyerActos bladder cancer side effects attorneys have filed enough claims to have a class action lawsuit set up. Yet as more plaintiffs join the case, their claims may flesh out the issues of advertising and reporting potential issues that Takeda Pharmaceutical didn’t do. While many alleged that marketing wasn’t properly done for the Type 2 diabetes drug, one Actos lawsuit plaintiff has painful, and compelling evidence to that end.

A man who recently filed a lawsuit with his Actos bladder cancer attorney notes that he started taking the drug in 2008. It took less than a year for him to receive a diagnosis of bladder cancer. It went into remission before coming back that same year. A third instance of bladder cancer occurred in 2009, causing him to file an Actos bladder cancer class action lawsuit claim recently. He had continued taking the drug, as Takeda hadn’t published those or Actos cardiovascular side effects, publicly enough for him to learn.

Actos is a highly popular drug as the number of Type 2 diabetes cases rise. Yet, Actos bladder cancer lawsuits claim that Takeda took its profits and continued to funnel them into aggressive marketing claims. Prior to 2012, junkets and other gifts could be given to doctors, who in turn happily prescribed the drug in spite of some awareness of Actos cardiovascular side effects. Takeda had also known about the Actos bladder cancer side effects as early as 2009, but did not update its packaging.

What’s ironic about the drug is that Actos cardiovascular side effects seem to be as bad as the condition it’s designed to treat. Actos heart attack risks are not insignificant, and blood-related diseases have forced some patients to completely discontinue their treatment.
