I have suffered SEVERE APATHY, WHICH FROM READING MEDICAL JOURNAL ARTICLES,IT IS APPARENT THAT THESE DRUGS INDUCE APATHY indifference in taking any action at doing tasks at home.
Total Sexual dysfunction.
No emotions,feeling numb. I have made several attempts to get off these paralysing prescribed medications. I feel as if my life has been eradicated,wiped out. I have been taking citalapram and other SSRi’s for over 25 years, have made many failed attempts to get off them, and I am still weaning off them using a harm reduction approach of 10% every 2 weeks. I have grave misgivings, that people like myself, who have suffered extreme side-effects ,will ever gain any compensation for the suffering they have endured at the hands of big pharma. It took me this long to get to the crux of the real side-effects, that people endure and emotional and physical damage these medications cause,through reading, journal articles and carrying out research. Today I read that they cause bleeding in the brain and a likelihood of stroke, it beggars belief, at least I have been able to express how they have deleted my life,killed my free-will. my creativity. And the withdrawal process, no support, have to suffer it alone. Hope this helps in some way . I was diagnosed at 16yrs after going to the doctor, as my father had endured and suffered from having a lobotomy and he kept saying he was paralysed and wished he was dead. Impacted seriously on myself and my sister,causing depression. I would have preferred interpersonal counselling. I feel I have suffered a chemical lobotomy.
