Study Says Zoloft Birth Defects Not The Only Side Effect
By Scott Hardy
A recent study of SSRI drugs like Zoloft states that they may do more harm than good and have a tremendous number of dangerous side effects. The study, published in Frontiers in Evolutionary Psychology, states that taking antidepressant drugs like Zoloft and other antidepressant drugs while pregnant may increase the risk of congenital birth defects, increased risk of premature birth and low birth weight and persistent pulmonary hypertension (PPHN) which could result in the baby’s death or require multiple surgeries to fix. In fact, babies born with persistent pulmonary hypertension (PPHN) have a 10% chance of dying because of it.
