Several companies that manufacture and sell joint health supplements containing glucosamine and/or chondroitin have reached a $2 million class action lawsuit settlement over allegations they lied about the health benefits of their products.
If you purchased a joint health supplement containing glucosamine from Rexall Sundown Inc., NBTY Inc. or their affiliates, you may be eligible to claim up to $50 cash from the class action settlement. Dozens of glucosamine and/or chondroitin supplements are covered by the settlement, including those sold under the CVS, Equate, Equaline, Kirkland, Kroger, Osteo Bi-Flex, Safeway, Target and Walgreens brand names.
Â
The glucosamine settlement will resolve numerous class action lawsuits filed since 2011 that accuse the defendants of making false, deceptive and misleading labeling claims about the benefits of glucosamine and/or chondroitin.
Rexall denies all allegations of wrongdoing or liability and stands by its glucosamine products and their efficacy, but has agreed to a $2 million class action lawsuit settlement to end the litigation.
