Update from the President of TCA

What a month! I had a new addition to my family. Aubrey Hannah Hardy joined my family two weeks early, at 6 lbs, 10 oz and is beautiful and healthy. We are very lucky to have her!

On to class action news. The big news, the DeBeers diamond class action lawsuit settlement was thrown out. What’s that mean? It means that first and foremost any claim you submitted won’t be paid out in the near future. In fact, if it is settled again you will likely end up having to submit a new claim. This decision has already been appealed by the Plaintiff attorney team so we’ll keep an eye on it and let you know what happens.

We’re currently developing some great new items for Top Class Actions and will be announcing them over the next few months. In the mean time, have you checked out Legafi yet? Legafi reports on lawsuits that are currently in process or have just been filed. In addition, Legafi will be taking over the responsibility of all class action investigations. Top Class Actions will just report on Settlements, but, you’ll need to go to Legafi if you want to start a new class action or find an attorney for a different legal matter. We’ll keep you in the loop as we continue to build this great new website!

That’s all for now. Thanks for supporting Top Class Actions!

Warm Regards,

Scott Hardy

President
