Details: The GeoDeck settlement will resolve a class action lawsuit, entitled Stefan Michael v. Kadant, Inc., et al., that alleges Kadant Composites, LLC manufactured defective GeoDeck decking products between April 2002 and October 2003. Kadant Composites has since ceased operations. The class action lawsuit further alleges that the remaining Defendants -- Kadant, Inc.; Liberty Diversified International, Inc.; LDI Composites Co. and Green Bay Decking, LLC -- are liable as either the successors in interest to, or the parent corporation of, Kadant Composites.
 
The Defendants deny any wrongdoing, but have agreed to a $5 million class action lawsuit settlement to resolve the litigation. 
 
Class Members of the GeoDeck class action lawsuit settlement include U.S. residents who are an original end-user purchaser of GeoDeck decking products manufactured between April 2002 and October 2003, which were purchased and installed prior to October 1, 2007 at an identified property. As a Class Member, you're entitled to receive a cash reimbursement of $1.00 per linear board foot of eligible GeoDeck product, or a product voucher redeemable for the right to purchase certain replacement GeoDeck product at the price of $0.60 per linear board foot of eligible GeoDeck product.
 
To participate in the GeoDeck class action settlement, you must submit a valid claim form to the Settlement Administrator postmarked no later than September 10, 2012.
