Update from the President and CEO of Top Class Actions

Good morning! I hope you had a FANTASTIC week! Here at Top Class Actions we’re busy trying to build you a website that makes you want to come back every week to see what’s new. I have some new initiatives launching later this week to help in that direction. It’s never easy to start a new project, but, I’m hoping that the work will pay off by bringing in new viewers and increasing our ability to find claimants for class actions. We shall see! Like everything we do here it’s a bit of a gamble, but, one that I hope will pay off and most importantly, one that’s not too expensive to try out.

On the home side of things we finally booked our epic summer adventure. It’s a trip up to see my parents in Maine, then we head down south and drive into upstate New York to see my wife’s parents. It’s always a neat trip and thankfully the girls get to see lots of GREEN! Living in Arizona they see a lot of dirt and rocks. Going back east allows them to see beautiful coastlines, green grass, deer, lakes and BIG TREES! It’s a fun time and I’m looking forward to spending time with our families (and getting out of the heat.) I’ll be working when I’m out there so expect updates (and pictures if you follow me on Facebook.)

That’s all for now! I hope you have a GREAT week! Here are some more lawsuit updates.

Update from the Senior Editor / VP of Operations

Good morning, everyone! I’m filling in for Scott Hardy again to allow him and his beautiful wife time to celebrate her birthday. Cheers to her big day :)

In our quest to find every consumer class action settlement we can get our hands on, we’ve uncovered quite a few big ones, which we’ve reported above. We also have some news for those of you following the eMachines floppy disk class action settlement, OfficeMax ZIP code class action settlement, and Kashi false advertising class action lawsuit.

eMachines has extended the cash option deadline for consumers who filed a claim for the floppy disk settlement. Class Members now have until Dec. 1, 2013, to request a cash redemption.

On Thursday, a federal judge preliminarily approved a revised class action settlement over claims that OfficeMax illegally collected ZIP codes during debit and credit card transactions. The original settlement was rejected in July. A separate class action lawsuit involving claims that Kashi falsely advertised its food products as “all natural” now includes dozens of products. We’ll update you when and if claim filing instructions become available for both cases.

Here are more class action updates:

We hope you found some great class actions to follow or file claims for. Have a great week!

Best Wishes,

Sarah Pierce

Senior Editor/VP Operations
